Today I visited the world’s third largest Whole Foods store located in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago. While I was impressed by the size and the number of eateries (there’s even a small bar inside), something else struck at me…the rollie grocery basket. It’s a product after a night of intense love making between a shopping basket and a shopping cart. While I’m sure it’s not new, it’s new to me and I wondered why other stores haven’t adopted it. It holds twice the amount of a regular grocery basket, and most importantly, doesn’t take up much room in the aisles. A perfect product to bridge the gap between the basket and cart.
